Nissan LEAF to Power Homes?


Nissan revolutionized the auto industry with the launch of the LEAF electric vehicle (EV). Now, the second-largest Japanese automaker is revolutionizing the LEAF. Specifically, their aiming to enable LEAF drivers to use energy reserves of the EV's battery to power their homes during rolling blackouts...such as those experienced after the March 11 earthquake and tsunami.

The Nissan LEAF battery can store up to 24 kWh of energy, according to Hideaki Watanabe, Global Head of Zero Emission Vehicles, Nissan. That's enough to power an American house for roughly a day.

2011 Nissan Brand Manager Programme Open to College Students


Japanese automaker, Nissan, is inviting students from 150 colleges, spanning 15 cities in India to apply to their second annual 'Nissan Student Brand Manager Programme 2011'. Running, for an intensive six-month duration (July to December 2011), the program offers participants invaluable real-life work experience, an attention-grabbing bullet on their resume, and a definite head-start in a career within the field of marketing and branding.
